These are just single dives teaching you more about the dive that you have chosen to do. For example the PADI Deep Adventure Dive is a single dive with an instructor to a max depth of 30m. Upon completion of this single dive, you will receive a paper to put into your log book as proof that you have passed the dive requirements and this allows you to dive to 30m for the rest of your life. The other popular Adventure Dive is the Night Dive. Just taking a single night dive with an instructor will then allow you to do night dives for the rest of your life. If you were thinking of taking the Advanced Open Water course at any stage in the future, these adventure dives can be counted towards the full Advanced Open Water course.
